I love documenting the changing seasons of the families I photograph. Watching babies grow, personalities unfold, and families return year after year is one of the sweetest parts of this work.

This beautiful beach session was filled with everything I love most about photographing families — movement, connection, tenderness, and the special in-between moments that often become the most meaningful. The rolling grass dunes and soft coastal light created the dreamiest backdrop, while this gorgeous mama’s green dress brought such a beautiful touch of color against the muted tones of the beach. These sessions are never just about perfectly posed portraits. They are about remembering what this season felt like — the way your children reached for you, the way they laughed, the way they ran through the sand, and the way you held them close.


This session unfolded slowly and naturally, the way the best family sessions do. There was no need for anything to feel overly posed or perfect. Their children could run, explore, snuggle, and play, while the soft coastal light wrapped everything in such a dreamy, nostalgic glow. One of the sweetest parts of this session was watching the children search for little treasures along the shore. Seashells, tiny rocks, and pieces of nature became discoveries worth celebrating — the kind of simple childhood moments that feel ordinary at the time but become so meaningful when preserved. I love the way these little details tell the story of who they are right now: curious, playful, full of wonder, and completely present in the moment.


One of my favorite things about photographing families by the ocean is how effortless the images begin to feel. The wind adds movement, the sand softens everything, and the wide-open coastline creates space for connection. These are the kinds of photographs that feel alive — full of warmth, tenderness, and the beautiful chaos of family life.


As I look through this gallery, I see more than portraits. I see a season of life being preserved — the way her babies fit in her lap, the way they gathered close in a place they love, the way she leaned into her husband, and the way they moved together through the dunes and shoreline.
