Newborn days have a way of making everything feel quieter. This Palo Alto newborn session was full of those gentle, meaningful moments. These beautiful baby girl was photographed at home with her family in the spaces that already hold so much of their story — the nursery, the bedroom, the living room, and all the little corners where their new life together is beginning.


I loved how naturally this gallery unfolded. The baby resting in a woven Moses basket with her soft baby blue bow. Her big sister in a white dress, full of sweetness and curiosity. Mom holding her close in the nursery chair. Dad laughing and lifting his girls in the living room. The family dog quietly joining in, making the images feel even more like home.


Some of my favorite photographs from this session are the ones that feel simple at first glance: tiny newborn feet, sisters lying together on the bed, a colorful wooden train,, a baby tucked against her mother, and the whole family gathered together in the soft light of their home. These are the details that may feel ordinary in the moment, but one day they become the pieces of a season you would give anything to return to.


There is something especially beautiful about photographing newborns at home. Nothing has to be rushed or overly arranged. A baby can be fed, changed, soothed, and held in the rooms where she already belongs. Older siblings can move in and out of the frame naturally. Parents can settle into the familiar rhythm of their own space.


That is what makes in-home newborn sessions feel so meaningful. They are not only about documenting what your baby looked like when she was small. They are about remembering what life felt like when everything was new — the quiet, the closeness, the tired joy, the tenderness, and the love that filled every room.
